Bong Bongo Land
« on: August 07, 2013, 06:43:02 PM »
Is there such a place?
When Godfrey Bloom used it in his speech against sending so much of our monies to other countries this was how he described those countries.
Racist?
Or not?

I myself could view it the same as 'in the land of the Fairies' only Bongo Bongo to me speaks of drums??

I agree with what he was trying to get over to people though and don't know if it is true that some of the monies are being squandered - but I am supposing he may be right.

Bongo, Congo, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Um_Bongo
Personally I don't see it as racist.
Sadly I fear a lot of money aimed for other countries is syphoned off on the way.

Yes, it is racist, absolutely. And given the appallingly sarcastic "apology" this man issued afterwards, he comes across as being a loathsome individual. And racist. Ideal UKIP/Tory right material.

The way I see it, what ever you say, you'll get shat on, even by your own.
Them trying to make you look lower, and them better.

Anyone booked flights to Bongo Bongo Land?
I guess his comments won't upset them too much - Google Earth can't find it.
I reckon the residents won't answer him back either.

How's it go 'I'm not racist but I know a man who is'.

How about this for a debating point.
How many times on here and on lots of other forums have the majority said we shouldn't be sending foreign aid to places like Ethiopia   and Nigeria when the UK economy is in a mess.
India has a F1 Grand Prix and a space programme plus half our call centres yet we still send them £293m a year
We send more money in foreign aid per head of population than anyone else.
So if Godfrey Bloom had specifically said 'India, Nigeria Afghanistan etc etc' the vast majority would have applauded.
But because he uses words like Bongo Bongo Land people complain and call him a racist.

Strikes me on this matter he speaks for the vast majority who are too scared to speak up for fear of being labelled in the same way.

Actually, I'm a bit racist.

When I see an immigrant has knowingly broken the law, I think being sent home should be part of the punishment.

That's home as in the country they came from, not bingy bongy land. The man is a moron.
