Really unsure on the Le Vell one.
To commit a crime like that thinking you can get away with it is stupid. Yet some people do it.
To get accused of it, how can you prove your innocent, assuming you are  :?

I've done jury service. It's not fun.

And again. Have ITV fuped up, or couldn't they be bothered to refilm the scenes to carry the story.
Was probably easier for them to keep the plot that Tommy saw bla bla bla and show the scenes.
Plus ITV would own the copy right on all scenes filmed. Sacked actors or not.
