Stretton Top - Christmas Decs question???
« on: November 17, 2013, 04:43:29 PM »
Driving along the Stretton Top we noticed small Christmas Trees (looked imitation but difficult to tell) they were fixed to the lamp posts and appeared to be in a red pot.

Over the top of them looked liked a mini soloar system panel.

Has anyone else noticed these and what if anything do these solar panels do ( if that's what they are? )

I'm guessing they will power any lights on the Christmas trees.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Speed cameras to catch Santa's sleight ;D or as Pete say's may have a sensor/ timer built in as well to detect when it is dark to turn lights on .

Me two first time I have seen them and that's only in Flys  photo, but solar panels are getting more  frequent in use ,and are being used a lot in roads signs etc see loads traveling , have you noticed that there are a lot more cameras mounted on lamp posts nowadays as well some read your number plate and you get a fine throught the post if your mot, tax etc as run out, I have seen VOSA vans driving on the motorways with cameras on as well doing the same thing.

No it's ok thanks will have a go with mine, hubby will no doubt use his as well.
If they don't turn out very well then maybe someone else will have a go when they are passing.
Just interested to see how good it is
