Scary stuff. Sounds like something out of fiction.

Plain clothes army unit that didn't officially exist carrying out murders of IRA suspects, not in self defence but just if they spotted them in the street (BBC1 last night)

Which is scandalous because of course the IRA and other Paramilitary forces on all sides always played by the acceptable rules of military engagement and ensured all their activities remained within the law.
