Channel 4, Benefit St.
« on: January 07, 2014, 07:12:46 PM »
Now I know it was supposed to be a documentary, but I presumed it was more of a one off comedy with actors.
Lot's of it was quite funny and lot's of it wouldn't really be said on television by real people. Would it ??

Oops.

What a tremendous coincidence that it was aired on the same day that the loathsome Osborne announced further cuts to welfare.

I missed it but the trailers didn't give a good impression of people on benefits.
My remark to hubby was that I hoped they would also cover others who didn't live like the trailers portrayed.

It's like being up late with children...
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Apparently the residents want the programme taken off air as they (Ch 4) portrayed them in a negative light.

So how do you put a positive spin on shop-lifting and drug/alcohol abuse?

Isn't that a bit after the horse has bolted. I remember an ex member on here who demanded his posts be removed.
We complied with his request. Fear of court action by him. I can remember a lot of what he said and posted.
I know his son is called **********, after a certain ******** **** ********.  he supplied that info freely, then asked it to be removed.

Guess people ought to think what they say and where.
