Wasn't sure where I should put this but I'm sure it will be moved if it's in the wrong place.

Funerals generally generate conversations of the past which is what happened yesterday with my family and I.

So one of my earliest memories is at pre-Christmas time cooking various tarts with my grandfather.

We used the large hidious looking grey stove with a huge chimney that used to go up through the kitchen ceiling.
It was fuelled by coal and had the one oven all cooking was done on this. Not sure if anyone else ever had one?

Every year from being quite young Grandfather and I did 100 tarts - always 100 for some reason!
We were, back then, a large close family, so I suppose the 100 tarts were needed.
