Nigel Farage

Hit by a car, in a plane crash, cancer, heavy smoker, heavy drinker - It's not immigration putting a strain on the NHS, it's Nigel Farage.  :))
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

I didn't like his comment in last nights debate about HIV and the fact that more people in the UK have it who are not British.
Also he obviously can't control himself when under pressure, he was jumping up and down squawking like a chicken with it's egg stuck half in half out.
Gave me the impression he could be a nasty man!!!

You want an example of how personality politics is taking over from substance? I overheard two of my colleagues talking this morning. You'd describe both as working class and natural labour voters. Whilst both pronouncing themselves heartily sick of all the election hype one thing they both agreed they might be inclined to vote for 'that Farage bloke' because quote 'he's like us, he enjoys a fag and a pint'!!!!

Yes, there is an argument for some kind of IQ test for voters...

To me, Farage, SNP, and the Greens, etc, to some extent, are like Lord Sutch was.
Yes people might want to vote for their alternative policies, but it's doubtful they are going to shake the foundations of politics if you get my drift.

They won't, that's for sure.  I've listened to Natalie Bennett of The Green Party being interviewed several times now.  She doesn't inspire any confidence in me at all.  None of them do in actual fact, but she's so hopeless The Green Party don't stand a chance.

Al Murray is an Oxford (I think) graduate but (most ) people know he's playing a character as pub landlord. Farage (working class pub goer) Boris Johnson (bumbling idiot) people don't seem to realise it's a character they're playing.

Every time Farage opens his mouth he complains about immigrants in one way or another, he seems to blame them for everything.
We certainly don't need someone like him at number 10 !

I've spotted that Milliband is trying to play the character of  party leader and PM in waiting. Badly of course but he is playing it.
On the subject of which anybody else noticed the subtle difference in the campaigns? Labour are saying its a choice between labour and the Tories. The Tories are saying that it's a choice between Cameron and Milliband.
They too obviously feel that the country can be persuaded that it's Milliband who isn't up to the job.
