Britain is one of the least religious countries in the world, with two thirds of the population describing themselves as atheist or "not religious", a new survey has disclosed.

Makes me proud to be British - science and logic beats whoodoo voodoo everytime in my book.

Certainly in my opinion the demise of Christianity cam about because the Churches didn't move with the times.
During the 60's things became more relaxed in our ways of living, whilst the Churches remained stiff, starchy and stiffed lipped - there was no giving or bending for a little change in some areas.

we all have to move with the times or we get left behind.

What is deemed to be the way of  'Christian' living, doesn't need a person to go to Church, the majority of us live our lives as Christians without even thinking about it.

It's surprising though how many people revert to The Old Rugged Cross for a Hymn at a funeral.
I must add though that I do feel quite disappointed when most people don't even know the words to so many of the old favourite hymns - just another piece of our history dying - or dead!!

I'm Christian but not a particularly religious person, I don't go to church 9perhaps I should, I don't know? ) but I think come the revolution, this will be our undoing! :( As others are slowly taking over as it is, its like a disease slowly eating us alive and when we finally wake up to it, it will be far far too late. :o

I don't count myself as particularly religious but I surprised (scared?) myself the other day, we were trying to choose hymns for the step daughters wedding in August and there were quite a few I could remember the words of.
I'm not an Alcoholic. They go to meetings
I'm a drunk I go to the pub
