Interest shown in the Chesterfield Hotel
« on: May 05, 2016, 05:14:39 PM »
Maybe all is not lost with the Chesterfield Hotel as the Derbyshire Times reports a 'number of investors have shown interest in the Hotel'

I'm wondering now what it would be used for if someone did invest in it, should it stay as a hotel?

Don't forget it is close to the proposed Chesterfield Canal redevelopment zone. Also next to the Railway Station.
My guess (as per the old Markham Works) it will be turned into self contained flats purpose built for rail commuters.
A little TLC on the building could provide a lot of rent from a prospective developer!

I wouldn't be surprised if it was turned into flats scimitar.
A good base for tourists wanting to visit and stay one or two nights.

Far better than being pulled down!
