So I was working this weekend - Adult special needs staying in my home for the weekend.
Daughter fell around 4.00am.
My telephone rings to let me know.
I couldn't leave the house because of the young person I had.
Hubby walks down, made sure she was comfy and warm and as there was nothing more he could do daughter suggested he return home -
8.00am paramedics rang me.
They needed to take daughter to A& E as she had been on the floor too long

I hadn't realised she was still on the floor!
( it needs 2/3 people to get her up plus a manger elk lifting cushion. When younger hubby and I did this but haven't the strength now).
Result:- I had to cancel our Sunday lunch out. Call my young guests mum to collect her at 9.30 whilst I went to the hospital -
Once released from hospital ( she was ok by the way) we ended up having a Subway for our very late lunch ( that's a first)
So - not the ambulance staff fault as they are all struggling but obviously if someone had been able to get to her sooner she wouldn't have taken a bay up in the ambulance admittance area. This would have meant some who was maybe seriously ill would have been seen much quicker - and WE would have had a Sunday lunch!
It's time this country was sorted out!!
