Taxi drivers who park on Knifesmithgate are asking where they will go when the torch goes along there. Surely one day - or even a few hours of having to park elswhere won't hurt? Considering that, because of the amount of people, they will be busy earning money?

Sorry but it seems a bit small-minded. I don't like football - but if there was an important match on I wouldn't be bothered about a bit of difficulty.

The thing is people will have no idea where the taxi's will end up so how on earth can they hail one? As i imagine all of Rose Hill will be closed as well as the road leading to west bars, so you wont be anywhere near there...hmm

It's so annoying - I've got so used to going along Wheatbridge Road exit from West Bars roundabout and going home via Chester Street, I still end up doing it now it's open again!

Well i found it harsh and i said so, but ill leave it at that, I am not going into a debate about it. Thing is she doesnt have to think about what it will do for guys like fly or indeed the disruption to buses and taxi's but meh ill enjoy the flame coming to town, ill be stood on chatsworth road maybe near a pub....or not actually due to little miss needing a pickup (damn)

I've emailed CBC about road closures, I can't find any info, just the route.
If they closed the roads temp for 10 mins, no prob.
Any longer, eg few hours, I may as well park up somewhere, and join in with the event ;-)
