Chesterfield Flood Alert

Just saw these Tweets via the Derbyshire Times:

"The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the River Rother from Chesterfield to Staveley tonight"

"An Environment Agency spokesman said: "Heavy rain's fallen throughout the day and further heavy rain is expected within the next two hours."

"Parkland at Saint Augustine's is expected to flood."

Better take my wellies upstairs then - according to the flood map the 'high water' is three feet from our front door...

We should be safe up Boza.
Is it sand bags at the ready time for Brampton  :( I hope not.

Where the hell is that?
If they mean Rother rec that isn't St Augustines and I can't think of anywhere else?

No open spaces in Gussie's that I'm aware of think they must mean Rother rec

Where does the Rother flow through Staveley?  I honestly can think where it is.

We went for a walk that way last summer, it flows alongside the canal at the back of Morrisons then they split and the Rother heads north and the canal east.

River Doe Lea at Bolsover Coking Works & Netherthorpe.
Location Bolsover Buttermilk Lane and area around Buttermilk Bridge including the works.
Netherthorpe including Netherthorpe School, Riverdale Park, and some properties on Worksop Rd.
EA warning level ; "Flooding is expected. Immediate action required"
Bad news.
Issued at 16.55 today
