Murdoch's reputation
« on: April 27, 2012, 09:13:30 AM »
I saw a headline this morning, "Will Murdoch's Reputation Survive?" and I thought yes, his reputation for being an evil, serf-serving, power mad git will definitely survive.

:)
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

I could be wrong Pete, but reading between the lines of this and other posts you don't seem to like Mr Murdoch much do you?

Here we go again - more dodgy dealings from the government.

Hunt urged Cameron to give BSkyB deal green light - Culture secretary wrote to PM to advise on News Corp bid weeks before taking charge of decision.

Thought it was interesting today when Levenson was cross examining Murdoch's lobbyist who said he was told in no uncertain terms that he wasn't allowed to meet with Vince Cable's advisors. Not long after Cable is relieved of the duty of dealing with the bid and Hunt takes over. And they do get to meet his advisor!!!

How much closer does it have to get to Cameron before the party Grandees begin sharpening the knife? I know he won't do anything as old-fashioned as resign, but there'll come a point when he becomes "damaged goods." I wonder what that is?

Once again...

New police inquiry into Murdoch

"Met investigates media mogul over alleged conspiracy to commit misconduct in public office following meeting with Sun staff"

Not sure about the "public office" angle - but its always nice to see Murdoch in the news...  :P
