McDonalds "Art" ?
« on: April 27, 2012, 08:12:46 PM »
Does anyone know what this is about. It has appeared on the rear wall of McDonalds(exterior) Is it some sort of living sculpture? If so, why?

If that's art they should come and see the ivy the back of the old football club wall... ;)
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Come summer, when everything's flowering, it'll probably be some floristic representation of a Chicken McNugget.

As for the ivy - they'll have a job pulling the corrugated iron away from that without taking the house with it!

The barriers are artistically arranged; not sure about the fungus on the wall though...

Ask Burrows and the Town Hall, they're probably funding it.
Ever got the feeling the Town Hall is going to fall out with me ;-)

Googled it - It's part of an art project in The Yards area of Chezzie. This is a "living green wall" and is part of the Chesterfield Cutural Renaissance project and has not been paid for by us. It will also include a puppy in the Kennels area and a falcon in Falcon Yard.
Should take our gaze away from all those boarded up shops though. :P

Nailed it there Poppy.
The Council seem very good at disguising empty shops in the Pavements
with placards advertising the Chesterfield Photography Club.

The telling thing about that photo is that the 'living green wall' has had to be placed out of reach of vandals and by doing so it's also made it look rather ridiculous.

Apparantley the living wall will soon have some non living concrete trees.
