As decided by MP's?
Both as bad as each other surely.
What a load of crap...."thinks"  where have I heard that before.....?
Why would they ask you/me anyone else for that matter - MP's that is, because they may appear to listen, to gain your vote, and promise you this & that, to gain your vote, but we know thats not going to work.
As for Murdoch (& Co), I can't beleive that they did not know what was going on.
Every honest succesful "business tycoon" should know whats happening from the Board Room, to the sharp end where the real work is done.
DodgyDeals.Com everywhere you look. It strikes me as a bit pompous when MP's scrutinise people.
Can't think why though.

I think, in the case of a select committee, they have to have a mixture of partys, which is obviously more balanced than a single party. But to a degree I think there is more than a grain of truth in what you say.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

At local level we work on cross party committees and have come to decisions away from party lines, most notable being the call in on the conservation area extension

Is that what's called a Scrutiny committee? Damn good idea that someone is keeping an eye on council decisions, pity there's no way for the public to call in a bad one - like those road signs!
