Nice to see Chesterfield bucking the national trend of independent bookshops closing down. Just read about new business, Spire Books, on the Derbyshire Times website moving from the Victoria Centre to new shop premises on Soresby Street.

We haven't enough book shops in Chesterfield, don't get as much time to read these days as I used to but always take at least 4 with me on my jollies --- and read them all

It's hardly a major expansion though, it's where the mobility scooters were just up from LLoyds TSB. Blink and you'd miss it.
