Shame on you Mr 'Taxi Driver' !!
« on: June 29, 2012, 08:48:12 PM »
Just seen a black and white 'taxi' drop 3 customers off, opposite our house.
The idle git didn't even get out the car to open the boot so his passengers could retreive their shopping.
Before you all shoot me down, perhaps the customers said, 'You stay there mate, we'll get our shopping'  ::)
I've seen him in town, he doesn't get out the car to put people's shopping in the car !
I get out the car regardless, just to make sure the doors/boot are/is shut, if nothing else.

Part of our licence T&C says we should help our customers.
Is it any wonder people don't use taxis when they get service like that !

I won't name and shame him, or the company, but I'd love to  Yp

Fly I don't say much on here about taxi drivers as wouldn't want to offend you or other good ones but I can assure you there are many out there who don't do their jobs.

From a different side though, I was walking through Sheffield yesterday and a taxi was picking an old bloke up with a walking aid.  The taxi driver walked to the back of the car to open the door and the old bloke shouted to him 'get back here you f*cker, i need help'  Im surprised the driver didnt refuse to pick him up.

There was no need for it.

You are right of course Simon, I'll bet taxi drivers get abuse from customers, I actually think it's a hard job as most seem to do long hours, have to battle through all weathers, endure road works etc etc. Without them the public would be lost.
Most we have come across have been good, but there's always some who let the side down.
To be honest we tend to only use ones tried and tested now.

It's always nice when passengers pay respect back.

eg: Our_Lass got these from the lad/(lad's family) she's been taking to and from school for the last couple of years.
He finally left school Wednesday.

Lovely thought - all to often people are quick to complain but seldom bother to give out a pat on the back. I recently purchased 2 recliner sofas and, after delivery, called the company to thank them. When they answered and I introduced myself you could tell from their voice that they instantly assumed there was a problem - and were delighted when I had called to thank them for their good service!
