New Years Honours List
« on: December 30, 2011, 10:58:23 PM »
Anyone you'd like to see on it (other than the usual gongs for political mates and whitehall mandarins)
when its announced at Midnight?
Obviously a Knighthood for King Kenny would go down well with me.

I'm a drunk I go to the pub

I do try to help people on a regular basis.
Oh, hang on a minute.
So do you JR, it's your job.

Scrap that one then. CBE for me.

Jonathan Ive, Apple's head of design, has been awarded a knighthood in the New Year Honours list.

Mr Ive, who can now style himself Sir Jonathan, has been made a Knight Commander of the British Empire (KBE).

Really? My daughter's partner is still using my first iPhone  - I bought it in 2007  :P

I also run an Apple Mac G from the late 1990s and a G4 from 2004

A friend still uses one of the first iPods...

What's your story?

Apprently theres a bit of uproar because 2 convicted criminals are getting knighted.

Whats the problem with that?  They have reformed their lives and this is what they get for doing so.  Good on em.

As for Simon Cowell getting something, how about a punch instead?

My first ipod did actually last quite a while and only got buggered up when changing battery (a major operation), my current ipod has problems with the buttons operating properly. Both my daughter's and my IPhones (3G) freeze frequently despite being a couple of years old. You have to update software to use later apps and that really slows them down. My wife's HTC seems to do just as much for a third of the price. Never had an apple laptop so can't judge on that.
