2 'allegations' against him have already been reported by the media.

Must admit I'm a bit at a loss to see why Lord McAlpine thinks he's got a claim against the BBC. As far as I'm aware his name wasn't actually mention on the Newsnight programme it was afterwards that certain people like Sally Bercow put 2 and 2 together came up with 9 and named him on twitter. That's hardly the Beeb's fault is it?

"The veteran BBC commentator Stuart Hall has been charged with three counts of indecent assault which date back to the 1970s and 1980s.

It is alleged he abused three girls aged between eight and 17 years between 1974 and 1984, according to the Crown Prosecution Service."

I hear on this mornings news that a man in his 70's from London has been taken in for questioning under the J.S umbrella line of enquiries.

I'd hate someone to come forward and make allegations against me.
How do you prove your not guilty. Word against word.  :(
This whole sorry story is quite sad  :'(

It's a three sided thing isn't it.
people are accused who are innocent and people who are guilty can get away with it and there are then the victims who have to go through so much and then once brave enough to step forward never do get justice.

I think most of it is because to most it can be so unbelievable that a person could do such a thing, to most people its still taboo to even speak of such things.
I hope that on some level the victims and everyone involved can get some closure and people can live with the choice they made!
