Venison burgers.
« on: November 26, 2012, 05:39:45 PM »
In a local shop the other day, Our_Lass saw some venison burgers.

"Oh look", she said, " Quarter pounder venison burgers, I've never tried them."
I replied, "They're dear arent they ?"
"No", she replied, "Only £1.50  for two", (pause'), "T**T"

Can't believe I caught her out  ;D :D :)) 8)

Just had the burgers for tea with chips and pickled red cabbage.

Hmm, strange textured things. Like a cross between sausage and kebab meat but with it's own individual flavour.

I must give 'em a try. I like all meats, and plenty of 'em, but I've never had venison before.

They're not too deer are they...  :P

They came in a pack of two from tesco's.
Our_Lass slow fried them, then halved them to make 4 thinner burgers.
Just to make sure the insides were cooked  :)

I went to a butchers and asked him for 2 lumps of meat from the top shelf.

He said the steaks were too high.  8)

I was at sea the other day and loads of meat floated past. It was a bit choppy.
