I think,for what its worth, that we should stay in purely on trading grounds with other members.
However, I disagree with brussels interference with practically everything else.
In other words how we govern our own country - law making, telling farmers what they can/can't do, unregulated immigration of eastern "europeans"(used to be Soviets).
It seems to me that the original idea of "the common market" was far less complicated than the present European Union set up, which seems to have far too much power to overrule what we, as a previously Empire driven country who imposed imperialism on others, are now having it imposed on ourselves.
In short, I think we should distance ourselves from the EU - whilst keeping trade agreements within the EU. Therefore our membership needs to be radically re-negotiated.
Just my humble opinion - I'm not really politically driven, but surely some of the burdens the EU place on us could be removed for our own benefit.
