We generally buy a card and like Chris  go out for a meal but not always on the day, sometimes though I just cook something -steak is always a favourite and we have a bottle at home. Don't bother with gifts now.

Wow Alsatian - I do hope a meal out will follow that????

Normally I would - but since Bodens chippy shut down.............................. >;

Bodens chippy - how old are you  ::)

My granddad used to tell me about it! Actually it was favourite haunt when I was on day release at 'tech' in the early 70s.

 :-[ guess what - I forgot to give hubby his card yesterday - he didn't say anything until this morning  :-[
In my defense though I had a lot on my mind yesterday morning after daughter had a fall wed early evening she's ok but I needed to go to her place first thing yesterday morning to check her foot - as i have again this morning.
We did out out for lunch at the New Inn in our village it was lovely and so was the wine  ;)
So sorry hubby but you have it now  :-*
