Times many I awake in a morning to realise my earring 's gone awol 
I usually find it in the bed or the bathroom floor. I usually find the butterfly somewhere else  )
Occasionally, I can't find the butterfly, so Our_Lass supplies me with another from her box of jewellery. (tat) 
Last six or so months, my ear's been really irritating and sore. So I've took my earring out for a week or so.
Then put it back in cos all's Ok, then it starts again.

After taking my earring out Monday this week, it was irritating and bugging me. I thought of something Our_Lass once said.
Nickel makes her tabs sore and itchy.

Guess what, I got a magnet off the fridge and voila, the butterfly's not silver, it's a magnetic metal. My earring is silver.
Has any body else had similar with non gold or silver earrings/piercings.

I've had the same problem with bracelets or rings which aren't silver or white gold but I never go to bed with earrings in.
