Martine McCutcheon declared bankrupt

EastEnders and Love Actually star petitions for bankruptcy, with Revenue & Customs listed as actor's largest creditor
How do people as famous as that, with such a good track record for working in films, the theatre and TV manage to spend so much money? And not to put some away for the taxman? It beggars belief.

reading the press reports the inference is that she had a management team including accountants who she thought were paying her taxes etc on her behalf but clearly they were not.

she's never struck me as the sharpest knife in the box when she's been on TV so if she was told by a posh voice in a suit that they were looking after all her interests yes she probably believed them!!
