New telly sorted :-)
« on: January 08, 2012, 06:55:14 PM »
Just bought this for the bedroom. I sometimes watch a film or some telly before nodding.
Plus it's got a built in DVD player  8)

So freebie portable TV and DVD player up for grabs. See my other post.

.............before nodding

Is that a euphemism for some kind of sexual practice?  ;D

Nice set and price Barry!

Don't you just love Aitch's humour?  If she hadn't been the first to say it I might have been  :)

Now you technophobes might find this interesting.

I read a topic on another forum, Sheffield actually.
Plug a USB stick into the back of your 'Newer, flat screen LCD telly'.

Goto your EPG, set a timer for a program you want to watch later,
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And it records it to the USB memory stick  ;D

Now that wasn't in the manual.
Just recorded Police Interceptors, going to watch it now.  8)

We have a dvd/video recorder machine in our bedroom, the tele works through it. I very often tape stuff and we watch it later I have also used it to transfer home vidoe's on to VHS and more recently transfered them all from VHS onto DVD. Just can't seem to get on with putting them on through pc, so it's abeen a good tool to have.

Stick to what works Old Cruser  ;)

It didn't record. It's not supported on my telly.

When I set the timer in the EPG, all it actually did was lock the channel for the specified time.
This stop's you changing channel without an 'OK',  so that any recording equipment attached, records your full program.
