As a bear of very little brain, can I just clarify that "Fellow Music Snobs" means the same as a group of judgemental tossers who think that their taste in music is better than anybody elses?      Just asking.

Obviously this Forum is about freedom of speech but without sensible guidelines I'm going to spit the dummy and take my ball home on this topic.

What's the difference between a compilation album and a live one where the group/artist plays the majority of their hits?
For example I could have easily put Led Zep's 'The Song Remains The Same' which depending on which way you look at it is either a compilation album, a live album or even a sound track to a film!!

The 3 I mentioned are not live albums they are concerts I have been to years after the albums came out where they have (for the first part of the set) played the album through in the original track order (though OCS have recently brought out a live version which included Moseley Shoals and the rest of the concert)

If you search online for best albums of the year, decade, century etc they will generally exclude compilations. various artists and live albums of old material.
