Got a few bare patches on the front as a result of applying fertilizer / moss killer. Even though I removed the dead moss and seeded with that stuff that includes grass seed and compost it won't grow. Dug out and replaced some topsoil and it still won't grow. Guess I haven't got green fingers.

Bought two hanging basket seed packs today.
12 different variety of flower seeds.

Pound shop  ;D
Also bought a bag of onion sets. Had a good crop the other year.

I use tubs and hanging baskets, bit early yet for mine but I notice there is some weed which needs pulling out infront of the trees on the front - so maybe that's a start for me.

Out backyard looks like a bomb site. Seriously neglected and plants mostly eaten by the rabbit, it's going to take a lot of work to turn it round.

Anyone any ideas how we cope with the rabbit? It nibbles most plants it can reach. Can't keep the poor old fella locked up, but as soon as we let him run free his one rabbit campaign takes off and it's bye bye to any fresh shoots, etc. Help!

He needs a running pen Pete. Buy some wire but make sure it's strong stuff.

If we actually had a garden, or if our backyard was a bit larger then a running pen could be the answer. Trouble is it's only quite small and a decent sized pen would dominate the whole backyard.

We are currently thinking about using decorative bricks and slabs of marble to raise the plants up beyond his height. As we have no flower beds as such, we have dozens of plant pots, troughs, hanging baskets etc.

Lets see how much it's going to cost to go down that route. But thanks for the suggestion anyway. :)

Rabbits can jump quite high Pete - has he a two storey hutch - that may help give him more to do.
