Took these snaps, but not sure why they were parked there.

Wasn't it the "1940s weekend"?
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

First I've heard. It wasn't that busy in town either.

The pictures  remind me of one of my pet hates - old vehicles in films set in the past. They always seem so shiny and well kept, they are never dirty or rusty - did they not have rust in the old days? LOL

Similarly, saw several vintage open-top cars yesterday between here & Matlock yesterday then later saw one exiting a field off Walton Back lane. Any ideas?

As Pete said it was 1940s & vintage weekend at the museum and winding wheel. There was a swing jive dance at the winding wheel, a vintage market and a 40s style cafe. Also a Home Front reenactmetment at the museum with a parade of vintage cars and wartime equipment. Also a screening of Brief Encounter at the Pomegranate. Didn't seem very well advertised. Plenty of people dressed up yesterday as we drove through town though.

Cheers for that Poppy. Sounds like a lot of time and effort was put into it.  :)
One of the odd few weekends we come to town and knew nothing about it  :(
Shame it wasn't advertised better.
