Morrisons to open on HMV site in Chesterfield

It seems some people are not too happy about this questioning whether Chesterfield has enoughsupermarket chains?
HMV staff will have to apply for an interview along with everyone else.
Have we got enough food chains in Chesterfield?
In the town centre I know we have Tesco and M&S but can't think of another one?
Are the two enough ?

I think they could do OK down there.

There's also the Coop food hall and Wilko's.

There's also the smaller traders on the market and in the Market Hall.
My personal take, If Morrisons want to open an M Store, in the old HMV, good for them.

Isn't it called competition.
I face it everyday on the ranks. Too many taxis and no customers.
Our_Lass got us another regular customer today. The lady was sick of 'Large Cabs' and being shoved into them.

Oh yes I forgot about the co-op. They can be a bit pricey though can't they.
It's not going to be a big store is it so maybe a quick drop in for people who just want a few items.
Do you think they should keep the staff on from HMV's?
Maybe Emmz will get lucky if she tries for a job there

#Yes I am going to keep an eye out for jobs there, i imagine it could go through jobcentre but will take trips to town regualr. HMV still has its doors open mind got a dvd for 1.99 there other day...
I imagine as far as the hmv employees go they may have a chance of getting interviews as its happened with other companies i think

Yes Emmz HMV have said they can apply for interviews but I think the staff were maybe thinking Morrisons would just keep them on?
