Whilrpool washing machines
« on: March 13, 2013, 02:50:28 PM »
Has anyone else had/got one of these.
Ours has been a pain in the butt from day one and getting worse.
It won't spin the final rinse out  >:(
Engineers - two of them now have been and said the same thing - they can't do anything, it's the model and a common complaint.
We are told we need a full load in for it to rinse and spin - but if we put in a full load it still won't rinse and spin - because they say it is an un-balanced load  >:(
I think someone is taking the Michael out of us  >:(
have called whirlpool and told them what a load of rubbish it is, that it doesn't serve a working purpose and I won't be renewing the insurance.
It's going!
when I said it won't spin bath mats both engineers and whirlpool assistant said 'it won't'.
Anyone else come across this?

Well they were ALL proved wrong folks.
Last week it gave up completely, no movement in the drum at all.  >:(
Still under insurance so I called them back out - it was the brushes!
They have been replaced.
Now it spins EVERYTHING!
Idiots!  >:(

my gripe was hotpoint! Their dryers are hopeless a friend of mine who had the same make washer/dryer had the exact same problems as us with the faulty lights etc...
I bought an indesit dryer just after christmas as our washer is indesit and both have worked fine (had the washer for 7 years now)

My daughter also had a Hotpoint washer/dryer had initial problems with it. emmz when you say probs with the lights do you mean flashing and the dryer bit not drying properly? That was the problem with my daughters. Engineer came and replaced something and it's been fine since.
Takes hours to flipping do a load though drying included I wouldn't have one not that model anyway.
Mine's a seperate tumble dryer but daughter hasn't room for one.  :(

Yes what would happen was the lights would flash and it would stop drying, it started doing it just after putting a load in. My friends did the same so she called out engineer i think they ended up replacing it..as did we no problems since
