More spam email
« on: June 03, 2013, 05:08:11 PM »
Below is an email I received today. Yep, spam, we can all see that. But look who it's to.
I own the email address @taximania.co.uk I can use any word before the @ symbol  I want ;)
When I signed up for a Tesco credit card I used that email so it was memorable and unique.
Tesco have sold or passed on my email address and somehow the spammers have got hold of it.
Just shows that even the big retailers and banks etc share your details  :-X

I have since changed my email addy for my card  ;) not stupid  :))

Having a catch-all email address is the biggest mistake you can make with email - I learned that back in 1995.

It's a massive spam trap because the spammers just set up software that takes any domain name and adds info@, sales@, office@, mail@, etc etc.

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.
