New Aldi
« on: June 22, 2013, 12:13:07 AM »
Seems the planning application has gone in for the new Aldi supermarket on the land near Tesco. Looks larger than I expected, building and carpark takes up ALL of the land available.

Never have been able to do a full shop in the one near the round about in Chesterfield, tried it when I used to take daughter. Will the Whit Moor shop be a larger store than that one?

Your getting confused with Lidl OC, town hasn't got an Aldi.
There's an Aldi in Clowne and one in Shirebrook.

Ahhh sorry Fly I did ask hubby what it was - but he's as thick as me about it  :)
What's the one Alfreton way then? Used to go there years ago sometimes - but found the same as the lidl couldn't do a full shop
Anyway - how big will it be  anyone know? - worth trying to do a full shop? From where I live it's got to be a full one or the petrol used will counteract any savings!

Judging by the plans, it's a tad bigger than the other retail units (blue), opposite Asda/Halfords.
I've outlined the rough size in green.

New Aldi at Killamarsh now as well I do like them, its where  I got my computer from when they did monthly offers selling Medion brand good quality and high spec , a lot of their specials come with a 3 year warranty , down side is like OC says can't really do weekly shop because of basic stock.
