Dennis Skinner - P.M. Questions
« on: October 16, 2013, 03:40:50 PM »
Dennis has his say and tells the gov to 'get rid of ATOS.

Here Here Dennis!!!!!!!

Two things about that

1 - ATOS are following set guidlines

2 - They get paid a lot if they fail a person in the ESA assessment.

Of course David Cameroon, misses the point (or appears to) that the man in question had 'Terminal Cancer' and was founf 'fit for work' by ATOS. >:(

He must then think that 'a proper assessment' was conducted on the deceased man - is he really so thick!

That is so sad - is this the future that the people of Britain want?

Cameron, and his cronies, doesn't give a fuck about ordinary people, they just use the old cliches time and again as a way to defend us all from benefit thieves - whilst they make millions on the sales of national assets like the sell-off of the Royal mail.

He is a heartless, big headed, uncaring, smug, arrogant twat and the people of this country should remember this when the next election arrives.

Watch the video, you can see the passion in Skinner's face - and hear the lack of any emotion in Cameron's voice.

I dearly wish he would join this forum so we could ban him like we ban other people just like him.

Sorry for the language, it's just how I feel.

I love Dennis but I'm starting to have serious doubts about how effective he is these days. Years ago in chesterfield there was a Tory councillor who was virtually a Maggie clone ( only real difference was that she had hair by Powegen ie wash it then stick your fingers in a plug socket) She was also the greatest weapon the Labour Party had because she would get up in council meetings rant on almost incoherently for ten minutes and when she sat down, instead of having to defend their policies or record the labour councillors could spend the rest of the meeting taking the pee out of her.
I really worry now whether anyone outside of north derbyshire doesn't just dismiss Dennis as the last of the loony left dinosaurs whose views are massively out of step with the majority of the population meaning this very real message is lost.

I don't think Skinner falls into that category just yet. But what I do know is that he has the reputation/notoriety to get himself on the national news, and thus gets his message across.

I just worry that the story is Dennis ranting rather than the governments policy

The governments policy has been to give ATOS the job of sorting out the benefits and supposedly the genuine ones from the work shy.

They get I believe a handsome payment for any that they put back on JS.
I persoanlly think that wrong.

ATOS should follow the guidelines in the link below.

http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/wca-handbook.pdf

However they are not and in many cases over ruling what the persons specialists have said, and making fit for work and onto JS people who can't work for different reasons in health or disability.

All evidence and ATOS recommendations should then be passed on to a decision maker from I think DWP.

Many are taking their assessment results to a tribunal and ATOS/DWP are being over ruled.

That's where the long waiting time is coming into it. as in the case Dennis spoke about.

The government set down these Descriptors so although we blame ATOS the blame for this I think sits squarely one the governments shoulders - who listening to Cameroon answering Dennis, seems totally unaware of whats going on  - he's a Liar!

It's all about making money.

>> It's all about making money.

That seems to underpin most people's lives these days. Shame really, we're only here once, so from my perspective I'd rather look back on life experiences as I grow older, rather than how much money I earned.

Dennis Skinner's comments at the P.Q's have made Sky news today, they have intervieved to lady from Bolsover.
Very sad the whole situation.
Seems it's Labours fault as they originally set ATOS on.
