Children In Need donations
« on: October 26, 2013, 10:09:23 PM »
Its thats time of year again when we are asked to kindly donate to Children In Need.

Ive not seen much advertising so far apart from on The One Show which are again doing a Rickshaw Challenge.  Now personally, covering Ireland and the UK in a Rickshaw in the Great British weather is a challenge in itself.  Cant fault the attempt.

However what I dont agree with is the minimum donation by text of £5.  I think its a bit much for a single donation.  Why not make it £1 and if you want to donate £5, text it in 5 times, or even better text the word 'five' to give a fiver or 'ten' to give a tenner etc.

Im all for giving to charity (and I presently do) but I feel £5 minimum donation might put a lot of people off texting in.
Im a bomb technician.  If you see me running, try and keep up

Agree.

They shouldn't  tell us how much to pay.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Good point Simon and they may actually get more paid in if it was left open.  :)
