Christmas tune favourites
« on: December 09, 2013, 08:10:47 PM »
Not sure if I have a favourite as I enjoy many Christmas Carols or Songs.

The one below is a blast from my younger days.

Just wondered if others woud like to share some more in the run up to Christmas

Merry Christmas, Darling - The Carpenters

Not only was she a stunner but an absolutely fabulous voice, got every one of their recordings.

I like most christmas songs/carols, but i find that christmas music from the past few years can-not compete with say music from the 80's. Take the band aid do they know its Christmas, the original I loved, everything after that its a no no...
All the above though I enjoy :)
A spaceman came travelling i like though not keen on de burgh Mary's boy chile by Boney M and Gaudete by steeleye span :)

I've just got back from a 400 miles round trip to see my sisters, nephews and nieces in Kent and to visit my Mum's and Dad's grave so here's a special Christmas song.

Love to hear that song when I'm driving home after my last shift at work. Christmas eve.
Nice to know I've got a week or two off to spend with friends and family  :)
