OC - these pictures look like the inside entrance. The one with access on the outside opposite Pavements (Changing Places) seems to have a bigger door and the symbol implies there is a hois?. A LibDem councillor with a disabled adult daughter said it's ok

Not good that people have piled stuff outside the door (I will take that up) but looks a better access

Thanks for that Slacker, must admit I haven't seen that toilet?

Is it on the same side as the original accessible toilet - opposite the disability shop?

It does certainly look like what 'I' would deem as a 'changing place' and more fitting for less abled physically disabled people.

I wonder if the stuff outside is to finish off the inside???

I will certainly take a look (stamp my foot cos have been in Chesterfield this morning  ;D )

If all of it is what we are presuming I will stand down from my soap box on the toilet access  ;)

As a ps to the stuff piled outside - you want to see what some places put 'inside' their accessible toilets!!
Went into the Northern General Hospital a few years ago and wheelchair user couldn't get in because it was being used as a store room for mops, buckets etc!!  >:(

mmmm well if it is I will kiss your little whiskers for showing it to me  ;D

I'm trying to see if it is Radar key access like the old one, it could be looking at the door.

I've found this link below it says the M/H has a smaller changing places facility, depends how small I suppose.

Out of interest and slightly off topic, what has happened to the old toilets. Are they still there or did they get filled in.  They date back some years.

@ Slacker

I have been into town today.
The door you show is not a toilet?
There is no radar key lock it's actually a yale lock on it so I'm supposing it's a store room?

Or could it be intended for a changing places toilet eventually.

Have to say the sign above it is very misleading.

Another point is, if it 'is' to be a changing places, any toilet door intended for wheelchair users, should have a symbol on the door - at eye level for wheelchair users to see not stuck up above it where even you, I or anyone doesn't notice it.

I am hoping that eventually it would be the intention to actually use this room for a changing places as at least the access into it would be better than the ones inside plus if it is where the original toilet was it's quite roomy inside.

Still on my soapbox.

That's disappointing, I naturally assumed when someone said a friend had used a hoist that it was there given the symbol on the door. let me see what I can find out.
