I do know what he's doing actually - he's laying a floor in the loft, hence all the racket and grunting. I'll be glad when he's done!

Yes I had guessed some work was being done up there Gerty.  ;)

Lofts are dirty dusty places and I'll bet your hubby will be pleased when it's finished as well.
It always kicked my asthma off when I went up there as well as bringing a film of dust down into the bedrooms.

Several years ago we emptied our loft one of the bedrooms was stacked high  :-[

Much of it went to charities to sell but the photographs, I sorted through, bought albums ( quite a few) and they are now safely stored in a wardrobe.

I might add it took me 12 months to complete this  :-[

;D At least yours can do it Gerty, mine wouldn't be able to do that  :(

I showed him how to use a drill!

That's what happens when you have rich parents who just get trades men in to do work - no learning of DIY from mum or dad!
Mind you he does do some jobs now,. and I can say he will finish asap.

The photograph sorting was back breaking as I generally sorted through them in lounge. Cost an arm and a leg in albums but I did some for daughter as well as us.
These days they are on a memory stick/card.

Have you got one of the photo frames which you put your camera's memory card into -  :)

I can't remember any of the staff Alsatian as I never had anything to do with them.
what I can remember is taking one of my younger brothers and his girlfriend for their first visit. Despite us telling him he needed to wear a tie he thought he could get in without one.
Hubby and brother ended up having to get a taxi back home for a tie

As promised to Old Cruser.....

Aquarius photos..........the first one is me with husband propping the bar up (his favourite place even now).  The dress even though it looks like curtain fabric, cost me a small fortune from Fenwicks in Cambridge.

The second photo ....I'm in the middle with shorter hair now.  It was a telephone exchange night out - and I'm guessing it must have been someone's hen party.

Lovely photo's Gerty, I know your face from facebook but your hubby looks familiar, your dress is very pretty. I love prints but they don't suit me.
I like your hair short in the second photo the lady on your right looks familiar as well.

Maybe it's just that we were all there frequently at the same time.

On hen nights I used to love to go into the disco, never off the dance floor.
My hubby wasn't into dancing so never went in when we went together.

Mind you I was the same at any parties and never sat down, as long as hubby kept filing my glass I didn't care.  ;)
