Somerset House V Tesco's
« on: February 16, 2014, 11:54:58 AM »
I thought this was sorted but according to a readers letter in the D.T's it isn't.
Although it was rejected from the councils planning committee at NEDDC, it wasn't followed through and Tesco's have appealed.
It's now in the hands of the planning Inspectorate?
What's gone wrong here then?

Nothing's gone wrong per se. It's exactly the same as with the crispin. T**** don't need planning permission to turn the pub into a shop (well ok technically they do but the council have no option but to grant it). What they do need is planning permission to build loading bay, new doorways etc and it's those sort of things that get turned down. It's now for them to decide if it's worth their trouble
I'm not an Alcoholic. They go to meetings
I'm a drunk I go to the pub
