Yes I've opened my gob on FB. Sorry Julia, you're really lacking in promises to me personally.
Slacker, don't punish her too much using info from me. As I said on FB. I have correspondence. Stored.
My lappy might have died recently, my gmail account didn't.

If you read it I was not the originator of the thread.

Julia wrote some obscure tweet about Labour door-knockers in Hollingwood not going down well because they were from Leicester. Strange that, as i tweeted, as the EU East Midland region includes Leicester. I also copied her into a tweet of the results from Chesterfield where LibDems came 4th.

Someone must have picked up on the conversation and posted on my Facebook wall that Julia has 2 facebook accounts. Nothing wrong with that apart from in one (aimed at Chesterfield voters) she lives in Chesterfield, in the other she lives in Nottingham.

Not illegal to have a candidate from outside the area but in 2001 and 2005 local LibDem election literature made massive issues of the fact that they had a candidate living in Chesterfield and Labour had "parachuted some one in:.

The facts were: in 2001 Labour candidate was Reg Race, originally from down south but working at Derbyshire CC and living THREE miles outside the borough.

In 2005 Labour candidate was Simon Rich. Grew up in Chesterfield, parents lived in Chesterfield but had moved to NOTTINGHAM.

So Julia. by admitting to living in Nottingham, has far less Chesterfield credentials than 2 previous Labour candidates who were slated for not being local.

Please invite her to respond to this.
