Smoke smell :-(
« on: June 04, 2014, 10:01:18 PM »
Yes I know all about it. Seen it on the web, big fire up Sheffield the other day.
It stinks up Boza tonight. I've just got a waft of it from the gas fire, chimney etc.
As an ex smoker, I tend to notice smoke smells like an extra sense !

Has it bothered/affected you ?

Edit: Part of my post was missing. My fault ;-)

Yes, I noticed it when I woke up yesterday morning - hurried downstairs expecting to find something alight!

No I haven't noticed anything.
Smell of smoke to me means instant tightening of airways, it's one of my triggers with Asthma.

It reeked in my house yesterday.  Noticed immediately as I got up because bedroom window had been open.  That carried a long way didn't it?

Apparently it was to do with the low cloud cover or something similiar. Not noticed it today. Thankfully  ;)

I've a very poor sense of smell but I could smell something acrid this morning and that was in my office with the windows shut, just the vents open. It seemed to have gone by mid-afternoon.
