Sheffield Girl Fall

Right then, where do I start?

Firstly, yes its a sad story and I hope she recovers but...why why why did she not take insurance and now they are asking the public to donate because they cant afford to pay it themselves.  Im sorry but I aint paying them a penny.

I bet they pay car insurance, house insurance, phone insurance, the list goes on but they wont pay holiday insurance.  I have very little sympathy for the situation they have put themselves in because of one persons ignorance.

If this happened to someone with insurance, would it make the news?  No.  They have only gone to the media to whinge and get other people to pay.

One question I would ask though is, if she was a sleepwalker, why have a room on the 5th floor?
Im a bomb technician.  If you see me running, try and keep up

Our_Lass suffered an incident whilst we were on holiday in Turkey 2007.
We had holiday insurance. The brain scan and overnight stay came to nearly £1000  :o
I have no sympathy for people who go abroad without medical insurance.
£20-£30 quid on top of the price of a holiday is minimal IMHO.

That said, I hope the lass makes a full recovery  :-X

We couldn't go on our holidays without the insurance.
It's foolish and anyone can have an accident.
I don't have much sympathy - sorry

I 100% agree with what everyone said, simply trying to save a couple of bob IMHO and it's backfired and they're now looking for people to bail them out.

...........and I'm not being heartless, I do feel sympathy for her injuries, but not the situation that she's got herself in.

Travel insurance, like car insurance, should be compulsory.
