Staveley Leisure Centre
« on: August 05, 2014, 08:38:35 PM »
Can anyone tel me anything about the swimming here.
What is the spectators area like?
Is it easy to get into the changing rooms from this area?
Are the ladies/gents changing rooms separate, or are they village style?
Does it have a hot tub?

Over 90% of all computer problems can be traced back to the interface between the keyboard and the chair

I went to the leisure centre today.
Ended up phoning to get answers I needed.
It had free parking, quite a large airy building.
Sat in the cafe with a bottle of water - cost £1.40 !

ahh fair enough could have answered as I have been once or twice with daughter.,
I think the only part I am not keen on is the changing rooms, dont like the idea of everyone being in one, having said that they all have seperate cubicles to change in., Lockers are also there though most of the bands have beenbroken so a bit hard to fasten it round your wrist
No hot tub and the only showers are by the pool!
Cafe, is pretty decent though a tad expensive coffee is really nice :)

Thanks Emmz my findings exactly, as I was 'doing a piece of work' the changing rooms were especially of interest to me as was the viewing of the pool.
Looks like we will be going again though  ;)

Yes on the whole it is pretty good,. I have taken laura when they have done the £1 to swim, As i didnt have to pay for travel it was quite inexpensive to go really.
And as far as i am aware is wheel chair friendly too so quite certain you could get yourself and daughter there :)

For a father taking a little girl swimming the village changing room idea is far better but I agree in the matter of showers, you can't get that clean with costume on
