The hospital is still locked down to visitors. Found this on the Derbyshire Times website:

"Sarah Turner-Saint, head of communications at the hospital, said: “It’s over a week since we took the unprecedented decision to close our adult in-patient wards to visitors to try and break the cycle of this outbreak – which is the worst we have known."

Which presumably continues to prove the theory that if it can go wrong it will?

It's ridiculous, this has been going on since February. The last time I visited I wondered how often the wheelchairs are cleaned, the ones just inside the entrance for public use. Some of them were filthy but they're taken from ward to ward by visitors, spreading who knows what bugs as they go.

Wheelchairs should be sanitised after each use - good point Dave I wonder if the hospital have thought about them?
My hubby went down down with a bug over Easter and I spent all day in bed yesterday with it.
Not nice!  :(

They really need to sort this out - and visitors need to follow the rules too.

I've had the trots since Friday and am in quarantine upstairs with supplies left at my door. At least I've got my laptop and a TV (not that daytime TV is anything to shout about).

The annoying thing is, I didn't go to the Royal to get it but caught it at a friend's house last Wednesday  :(
