Express Dairy. Lockoford Lane

Further to my last post about School Milk and the piece that I'm writing I wonder if anyone has any memories, or better still, PICTURES of the Express Dairy on Lockoford lane. Did any of you live, or know anyone who lived near to it when it was operating and what thoughts did you have at the time. Hope that you can help with the article as many younger people now have no idea that the town had it's own Dairy employing up to 100 people and now it is only history. GeeBee

Their was a Express Dairy at Sheffield long gone though no idea if that's any help.

Thanks anyway, that  Dairy unit was on Broadfield Road, but as you say now long gone.

When I was a kid me and my mates used to play down the ' Moor' the middle photo rings a bell a sort of fleeting memory. Any idea when the dairy closed the photos look 1980s?

Wow, what a star, just what I'm looking for and thanks so much for taking the trouble. The walk way which is shown more or less cut off the corner where the dairy stood but was not in place , In think, when the Dairy was operating. The Dairy opened Nov 1951 and closed around 1968. Thanks again geebee
