I wouldn't blame the people queueing for petrol if they were filling up in order to drive around and panic-buy first-class stamps.

Agreed what a jump in price they are having - sends me straight to my email box  ;)

Welcome from me too Dave  ;)

I've got a bit of dilema. I've been driving the taxi for the last 2 week, even at the weekends when I'm not working.
My car is parked at the office, the fuel light came on just before I parked it up.
Friday, I've got to leave the taxi at the office, and go home in my car.

Question: Will there be a petrol station in town friday teatime with fuel.
Or had I best take a fuel can with me tomorrow and try grab a gallon from the first place I pass?

I read someone filled his Range Rover at Clay Cross then bought the last six petrol cans from the filling station and filled them too - greedy, selfish ****!  >:(

Thanks for the welcomes, good to be aboard!

We're away next weekend, as per my other post in another thread  :(

I'd get some asap Flyboy - after the government warning going out today, I reckon that everyone will be heading to the pumps. After all, without petrol, your buggered in your job.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Just for the record OC, my taxi is diesel, there's no school runs next week, so very little chance of work,
if there's no diesel, I just don't work and earn bod all next week:(
'My', car, is petrol, that's the one that's on empty, no petrol and we don't go away next weekend. EeeK  :o
That's £80 of caravan wasted  :'(

If the government are so concerned that the country will grind to a halt if theres no petrol they could always help the economy at the rest of the time by reducing the taxes and duties. Just saying.........

Just got back from Rother Valley where I have been sailing.
Took me 20 minutes extra to get there because the muppets were queing up at Morrisons to buy fuel.

Half the petrol stations in the UK are f*cked up thanks to Francis Maude - what a twat.

Topped the taxi up with diesel, and my can with petrol, in Nottingham this morning. No queue  :D
Got back to the office, and thought 'sod it'. Jumped into my car, went to Sainsbury's and filled it.
Had to queue for about 20 mins  :(

Apparently quite a few stations are running out now.
