New Year resolutions
« on: December 31, 2012, 10:44:52 AM »
Do any of you make one (or two) and actually manage to keep them?
Mine will be to get back into walking more, something we enjoyed but the last couple of years were not able to do.
So I'm looking forward to getting ou there.

Lose weight this year. Lots of it.  Six stone during the year would be a nice target.

Take your wallet out of your pocket when you weigh yourself - there, easy!!! - JOKE!!!  >;

There's quite a few that I ought to make but I probably won't make any because I don't have the stickability to be able to see them through.

I am aware that a lot of people aim to lose weight in the new year.
Advice, prevention is better than cure.  If you don`t put it in - you won`t put it on.
Simple theory really.  If you prevent yourself from becoming, a smoker/overweight ..... you don`t have to
find a cure to solve these.  Think about your future, is it really worth that cig/chocolate bar - the answer is
no.  A second on the lips, forever on the hips.
It is about training your brain, don`t take the easy way.  Use the new year to change you - for good.

@CC "Lose weight this year"
At Easter a friend of mine decided to try and lose weight. He aimed to lose a minimum of 1lb a week for a year by sticking to a healthy / sensible eating pattern. 1lb a week x 52 weeks  = 3 stone 10lb. Some weeks he lost a little bit more. 9 months on and he has lost 4 stones.  :)

Me - I'm going to aim to finish stuff before starting other stuff!

My New Years resolution is also to lose weight. I need to get down to 11 stone.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.
