Mine stays in my back pocket cos I'm sat on my aris most of the time  :D

Carboots, markets etc, it gets put in a front pocket,
I'm sure I'd know if someone was dipping in there  ::)

If you're going to have your wallet stolen you may as well enjoy it   ;)

A bit like the Royal family then eh, it's a good idea not to carry too much cash though never know who is lurking out there.

I think the elderly and vulnerable are at risk of losing a lot more to telesales and door to door conmen.

Agreed there my friends father got hooked into buying stuff at expensive rates through answering junk mail. When she visited he had stacks of unwanted stuff in his spare bedroom - the monies her had paid out unbelievable.

The elderly are deliberately targeted, both by junk mail and by door-to-door salesmen. That's why I've registered my Dad's address with the Mailing Preference Service and his phone number with the Telephone Preference Service - both are free and very worthwhile.

He often used to give far too much information over the phone e.g. "I'm disabled and living on my own...." It horrified me so now he's been told not to tell anyone anything and it's printed out for him to see next to his phone - 'Don't talk to people you don't know!'.

He doesn't answer the door; anyone who needs to see him either has a key or the code to his keysafe - got to keep the old folks safe somehow.

Wish my mum would listen to us Dave, she's far too trusting even though we all tell her the things which you have told your dad. It's frightening isn't it.  :-\

I built a website a few years ago for a charity who campaign on behalf of old folks who are scammed out of their savings by "winning" competitions...

Take a look, it's a real eye opener.

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Utter scumbags !!

I'll be glad when they finally stop the use of cheques.
My old Aunty may stop sending them behind our backs.

Bless her, she's only trying to help  :'(
